February Favorites 2011

Okay, so this will be a post of my favorite products/clothing etc in February this year!

  • UGG Australia

I have two pairs of UGG's but I wear the Classic Shorts the most now as my Bailey Button's are slightly too big for me. They're super cozy for Autumn + Winter. I know some people may not like them as they're on the pricey side + they find them 'UGGly' but I adore them ^^

  • TRESemmé Thermal Recovery shampoo + conditioner

RRP: £4.07 each

I tend to use a lot of heat on my hair which I know, causes a lot of damage. So in order to keep my hair in nice condition, I use shampoos + conditioners aimed at damaged hair.
I came across TRESemmé's Thermal Recovery range + decided to give it a go after reading good reviews about it.
Results? My hair feels super soft after only just one use! This is highly recommended for those who are looking for shampoos/conditioners for damaged hair ~

  • Body Shop: Born Lippy (raspberry)

RRP: £2.00

I've been using this lip balm a lot these days as I like to keep my lips moisturized. I wouldn't say its the best lip balm to keep your lips moisturized but it does give a tint to your lips which is something nice ^^

  • LUSH Dream Cream

RRP: £10.25

I use this almost everyday to moisturize my face. Although it's a hand + body lotion, I use it on my face the most =P
Although it's slightly on the pricey side, I would highly recommend this product to those looking for a good moisturizing cream as it instantly moisturizes your face, leaving your skin feeling soft!

  • Hollister

Okay, I've slightly become obsessed with Hollister these days... I'm not buying from there just because everyone has it. I buy from there because I find that their clothes are of good quality + I like the 'SoCal' look which basically, only Hollister has the SoCal style.
My collection is starting grow as I now have over ten pieces of clothing from there...

  • PANDORA Jewelery

I've posted a blog post on PANDORA before, you can find it here if you want to read it ^^
I have three different PANDORA bracelets but my silver clasp bracelet is my most favorite one out of the three. It's basically a just charm bracelet where you can add charms on to remember those memories (=

Just a more creative photo ~

Hope you guys enjoyed reading my February Favourites!
Let me know what you guys think! ^^

Shopping Haul (ft. Hollister, Superdry, Zara + Revlon)

Last Thursday, I went shopping with my friend Anna in Aberdeen before our prelims started. I managed to pick up a few things I wanted that I saw online + just thought to show you guys what I got! ^^

Clothing items:

Hollister

RRP: £32

I saw this on Hollister's website + thought that this would be a great top for the summer! It's made of a sheer yet soft material. I liked the detailing of this top as it gives it a more feminine style towards it.

RRP: £32 £11.09

This was in Hollister's clearance section which I thought was a bargain. There were some jeans on clearance too, reduced from £60 - £20! None of my size though =(
This top is ideal for summer as it's sleeveless + flowy. I like the detailing too as it has little crystals/diamante's on it + sowed on flowers.

Navy Friendship bracelet
RRP: £3

This is my second Hollister bracelet + believe it or not, it's from the men's sections =P
Although it's just a plain/casual bracelet, there's something about it that I really like. Probably the SoCal effect that it gives off ~

Superdry

Superdry Academy Gilet
RRP: £84.99

As blogged in previous posts, I've been ranting on about gilets + how I had my eye on the Superdry Academy gilet. I finally have it + I'm super happy that I got it ^^ I kinda freaked out when I was in Cult though as they only had sizes XS + S. I tried on a size S + to my suprise, it fitted me! ^^
Although it's on the pricey side, I don't regret buying it at all. It's super cosy + very fashionable!

Zara

Buckskin Blutcher in Ecru colour
RRP: £29.99

I've had my eye on these shoes on the Zara site for a while + decided to purchase them while I was instore ^^ It's made of a suede like material which I like as it makes the shoe more comfier ~

Revlon (Boots)

Revlon Matte Nude Attitude 001
RRP: £5.19

Left with flash, right with no flash

Boots + Superdrug were having a £2's off Revlon lipsticks so I decided to pick up a nude lipstick from Revlon's Matte collection. I quite like it as it gives a matte effect instead of a shiny/glossy effect (=

Hope you guys enjoyed my haul!
Feedback would be appreciated ^^

January Favourites 2011

I have decided to do monthly favourites as from today! At the end of each month, I will do a blog post of products which I have been loving ^^

  • John Frieda: Root Awakening Collection

I am absolutely loving these hair products! I bought the Root Awakening products (Shampoo, Conditioner + Strength Boosting leave-in spray) for dry hair as I straighten my hair often. You can buy these products for normal hair too! I bought them from Superdrug at £4.89 each. After using these products for a month now, my hair is feeling soft & has grown faster than usual ^^

  • Hollister Solana Beach body mist

Available in Hollister from £8.00 (also available for 2 for £12 on selected products!). The smell of this product is amazing! Hollister describes the scent as a "raspberry, apple + strawberry mix with jasmine and white musk for a fresh, lively scent". I highly recommend this product, I bought this product in December and there is still a lot left in the bottle!

  • Boots Botanics Skin Brightening Cleanser

Available for £4.09 in Boots. Apply this in the morning and before bed with a cotton wool pad & it will remove any excess make-up giving your face a fresh and healthy glow! Highly recommended products, does it's job ^^

  •  L'Oréal Paris Super Liner Carbon Gloss eye liner (black)

Available in any drug-store for £6.19. Again, I highly recommend this product for those who use liquid eye liners often. I find liquid liners stay on longer than eye pencils & give off a more bolder look which is something that I prefer. The tip/brush is also one of the best ones I've used so far!

L-R:  L'Oréal Carbon Gloss super liner, Rimmel London Exaggerate Liquid eye liner

In comparison,  L'Oréal's tip is more thinner and longer whereas Rimmel London's is more short and stubby. I prefer L'Oréal's tip as it gives more flexibility when applying onto your lids and is much quicker when applying onto your eyes! I find that when I use Rimmel London's tip, I tend to take much more time as the brush is thicker which causes me to create mistakes while lining my eyes which is slightly annoying!  ><

That's my January favourites for 2011! Next favourites post will be towards the end of February ^^

HAUL: Clothing and Accessories (pic heavy!)

I've been planning to do a haul about my recent purchases quite a while now but I didn't have the time to do it at the time! Had some time to spare today so I decided to snap some photos of my goodies & do a blog post about it =D
All my purchases weren't all purchased in one day, some were a couple of weeks ago, some a couple of days ago ~

Let's start with the clothing items:

Trench/Mac jacket from Zara.
Originally £59.99 but reduced to £29.99
I absolutely love this jacket! Such a bargain, I haven't had the chance to wear it yet but when I do, I'll do an OOTD ^^
The hood is removable which I like as without the hood, it looks more formal whereas with the hood, it looks more casual ~

Floral blouse/shirt from Warehouse.
Originally £20 but reduced to £5
This top was featured in my first OOTD post. When I bought it, it said £7 on the label but at the till it was actually £5! Another great bargain =D

The floral pattern in more detail ~

Chunky knit cardigan from H&M.
£20 - Chocolate coloured
This cardigan is great for the cold season, It's great to dress up & dress down in. Love the fact that its chunky knit as it is super cosy!

Preppy/vintage style Cardigan from Vero Moda.
Originally £30 but reduced to £15
I love the style of this cardigan, I like the fact that there are bows on the top of the pockets! ^^

Lace top from H&M
£12.99
This top is great for Spring/Summer. I love the lace design on it which is what caught my attention first!

Lace design in more detail ~

White top from Hollister
£26
This is just to add to my Hollister collection... I find their style of clothing is really different compared to other shops. They have their own style of clothing which is something that I really like.

Hollister top in more detail ~

Silk blouse/shirt from H&M
£20
I've always wanted a piece of clothing that has that silky feel & this shirt was perfect! It came with the brown woven belt which I love as it matches the blouse & adds the finishing touch towards it. I wasn't too keen on the price at first but I had extra cash so I thought, why not? =D

It has a frilly detail on the front which is something else that I love ~

Navy blue dress from Republic.
Originally £35 but reduced to £10
I was looking for a New Year dress in navy blue & this was perfect! Was such a bargain too, Its above knee length & is perfect for special occasions! (=

Balleria flats from Oasis
Originally £30 but reduced to £15 - Nude coloured
I've seen these flats in store months ago & was planning to buy them but I ended up not buying them as I bought another style instead =P
Was so glad to see them on sale (they were the last ones too!)

Floral design in more detail ~

That's all of my recent purchases! Hope you enjoyed this haul & I hope to do more in the future ^^ Maybe my next haul will be from Hong Kong as I'm going to HK this April! So excited =D
