FREEBIES: Nails Inc giveaway with June's InStyle

Nails Inc have teamed up with In Style Magazine to give away some of their nail polishes specially designed for In Style!
I'm sure many of you's know that Nails Inc have given away A LOT of goodies through magazines ^^ This time they are giving away one of three nail polishes with each magazine.
You can choose from Electric Teal, Fashion Fawn or Candy Orange.

Today, I managed to pick up Electric Teal + Fashion Fawn. Candy Orange didn't appeal to me.

I also decided to swatch + compare Fashion Fawn with some other similar nail polishes

L-R: Nails Inc Fashion Fawn, Barry M Mushroom, Nails Inc Caramel, Nails Inc Jermyn Street, Rimmel London Beige Style

Here's a swatch of Electric Teal ~

What do you guy's think?

TAG: How much is your face worth?

As tagged by Christina from KekeChristina, I have been tagged to do a 'How Much is your Face Worth' tag. It looks pretty fun so I've decided to try it out as I'm curious as to how much my face is worth is total. Basically, you add up all the cost of the products + tools you use on your face on a daily basis.

My daily face:

Products used:

Boots Botanics Skin Brightening Cleanser - £4.07
LUSH Dream Cream - £10.25
Garnier Roll-on Anti-dark Circles - £10.20
Maybelline New York Dream Creamy Foundation - £8.19
Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder - £3.99
Loreal Paris Super Liner Carbon Gloss - £6.19
LUSH Lip Service Lip Balm - £4.99
Revlon Matte Nude Attitude Lipstick - £7.49

Tools used:

EcoTools Bamboo Concealer Brush - £5.10
EcoTools Bamboo Powder Brush - £9.18

Total cost = £69.65

Hahah, the total cost isn't that bad seeing as most of my makeup is quite cheap ^^ I really wish I had some MAC Cosmetics though but I where I live, there is no MAC. The closest would probably be three hours away from me by train. You're probably wondering why I don't just order off the internet but I prefer seeing something first then purchasing it if I like it ^^

Now, I tag:

+ anyone else who wishes to do this!

Enjoy!

NOTD: Nails Inc Denim (+ matte top coat)

As many of you's may know, Boots had a Nails Inc promotion as part of their Diet Coke collection. I managed to get the Denim & Caramel nail polishes thanks to my friend (check out her blog here!).

Today I decided to wear Nails Inc's Denim polish:

Nails Inc Denim is a navy blue colour, maybe a slight shade lighter than navy. It covered well with two coats and dried pretty fast. I've been looking for a navy blue nail polish and this one is perfect!

I also applied Rimmel London's Matte Finish top coat as I quite like the matte look at the moment:

Nails Inc Denim looks great with a matte coat! Gives it a totally different look - from glossy to matte.

What do you think of the matte finish? (:

January Favourites 2011

I have decided to do monthly favourites as from today! At the end of each month, I will do a blog post of products which I have been loving ^^

  • John Frieda: Root Awakening Collection

I am absolutely loving these hair products! I bought the Root Awakening products (Shampoo, Conditioner + Strength Boosting leave-in spray) for dry hair as I straighten my hair often. You can buy these products for normal hair too! I bought them from Superdrug at £4.89 each. After using these products for a month now, my hair is feeling soft & has grown faster than usual ^^

  • Hollister Solana Beach body mist

Available in Hollister from £8.00 (also available for 2 for £12 on selected products!). The smell of this product is amazing! Hollister describes the scent as a "raspberry, apple + strawberry mix with jasmine and white musk for a fresh, lively scent". I highly recommend this product, I bought this product in December and there is still a lot left in the bottle!

  • Boots Botanics Skin Brightening Cleanser

Available for £4.09 in Boots. Apply this in the morning and before bed with a cotton wool pad & it will remove any excess make-up giving your face a fresh and healthy glow! Highly recommended products, does it's job ^^

  •  L'Oréal Paris Super Liner Carbon Gloss eye liner (black)

Available in any drug-store for £6.19. Again, I highly recommend this product for those who use liquid eye liners often. I find liquid liners stay on longer than eye pencils & give off a more bolder look which is something that I prefer. The tip/brush is also one of the best ones I've used so far!

L-R:  L'Oréal Carbon Gloss super liner, Rimmel London Exaggerate Liquid eye liner

In comparison,  L'Oréal's tip is more thinner and longer whereas Rimmel London's is more short and stubby. I prefer L'Oréal's tip as it gives more flexibility when applying onto your lids and is much quicker when applying onto your eyes! I find that when I use Rimmel London's tip, I tend to take much more time as the brush is thicker which causes me to create mistakes while lining my eyes which is slightly annoying!  ><

That's my January favourites for 2011! Next favourites post will be towards the end of February ^^

Nail Polish Haul + Swatches (feat. Nails Inc, OPI + Drugstore)

My second haul post so far. Nail Swatches will be towards the end of this post!

Today I took advantage of Superdrug's 3 for 2 promotion on selected Maybelline New York products. I picked up three nail polishes from their Forever Strong Pro collection - Ivory Rose, Pink Shimmer & Nude Rose. These are normally £4.09 each so a pretty good bargain for the 3 for 2 promotion!

L-R: Ivory Rose, Pink Shimmer, Nude Rose

I also picked up Rimmel London's Matte Finish top coat as I've been wanting a matte top coat for quite a while now!

RRP: £4.59

My friend Anna (check out her blog here! She will be posting a nail polish & cosmetics haul soon!). She managed to pick up two Nails Inc nail polishes for me while Boots held there Diet Coke promotion which was to buy two bottles of Diet Coke & recieve a free Nail Inc polish. My friend kindly picked up the Caramel & Denim polishes for me:

L-R: Caramel, Denim

I am also delighted to be the owner of my very first OPI nail polish as my friend Anna passed down one of her OPI nail polishes to me. It's the OPI Samoan Sand which is a very sheer nude coloured polish:

RRP: £9.95

NAIL SWATCHES:

L-R: Maybelline Ivory Rose, Pink Shimmer, Nude Rose, Nails Inc Caramel, Denim

I have applied Rimmel London's Matte Finish Top coat here. I must say, the results are really nice!

OPI Samoan Sand

Again, I applied Rimmel London's Matte Finish Top coat. I have this nail polish including the matte top coat on my nails at the moment. Loving the colour!

So this it the end of my haul, hope my nail swatches were okay! First time swatching so many polishes ^^
Also just wanted to add a photo of my slowly growing nail polish collection ~

NOTD: Rimmel London Lycra Pro - Beige Style

Decided to put on Rimmel London's Beige Style nail polish today. It is available in Boots or Superdrug for £4.59.
I've had this nail polish for quite a while now & it's by far my most favourite nail polish at the moment ^^

I think the polish is a creamy beige/nude colour which I quite like. It's nothing too fancy or too casual, just something that you can wear on a day to day basis ^^
It's easy to apply onto your nails & drys pretty quick too.

When applying nail polish, I always use a top coat & base coat. I purchased a new top & base coat today which is Rimmel London's 5 in 1 nail care polish, also available in Boots or Superdrug for £4.59.

I find that it drys really quickly and that it is also easy to apply onto your nails. Would highly recommend it!
