NOTD: Pastel Pink & Glitter Tips

I believe this is the first post I've made this year, so to start it off, I decided to do a NOTD post ^^

Inglot #842 & China Glaze Snow Globe (with flash)
As you can see, Inglot #842 is almost a pastel pink colour, verging towards nude. I decided to add a little extra towards the nails so I applied China Glaze's Snow Globe onto the tips of my nails. ^^

L-R: Inglot #842, Leighton Denny Crystal Finish Top Coat, Leighton Denny Under Cover Base Coat, China Glaze Snow Globe
These are the polishes I have used. I'm currently using Leighton Denny's top & base coat as I find that the nail polish lasts a lot longer when I use it. If you'd like a full review of the Leighton Denny top & base coat, write it down below in the comments! ^^

NOTD: Nails Inc Basil Street

Yay for freebies! Glamour is currently giving away free Nails Inc polishes, one polish per magazine. I managed to pick up Basil Street - an opaque nude/beige - perfect for everyday wear.

With flash

I love this, it's kinda identical to my skin tone? Which is great for a neutral look ^^

NOTD: Shining Sugar Coat

I'm back with another NOTD post ^^
Due to the amount of nail polishes I received from a friend, I decided to try out a couple!
So I decided to use Wet n Wild's Sugar Coat with Northern Light's Hologram Silver top coat ^^

With flash

A closer look at the glitter

Sugar Coat is quite sheer so it took me up to 4-5 coats to get it slightly opaque. Nonetheless, it's a lovely colour. With the addition of the glitter top coat, it gives the nail polish an extra boost ^^

NOTD: Chanel Water Marbelling

All I seem to be posting these days are NOTD posts. Sorry for those who aren't interested in these! Had no time to shop yet but I will be shopping soon so hauls may come soon ^^

Today I had some time to spare so I decided to do some water marbelling. I've done water marbelling before + it requires A LOT of effort + time. The results are worth it nonetheless ^^

Products used:
- Chanel Le Vernis Miami Peach
- OPI Alpine Snow
- China Glaze White Cap
- China Glaze Pelican Gray

NOTD: Nails Inc Havana (+ China Glaze White Cap)

As mentioned in a previous post, I said I managed to grab a hold of Nails Inc's Havana ^^
So here's the swatches:

With flash

The colour is really nice, it's a shimmery pink/fudge colour which is nice for day to day wear.
I also applied China Glaze's White Cap over it ~

With flash

Just to add extra shimmer to it ^^

NOTD: Electric Teal + Shimmer

So I have Sports Day tomorrow + in my house group, I have to wear green (if possible). Green's not really my type of colour which means I have no green items of clothing. The closest I could get to green was nail polish ^^
The polish I used was Nails Inc's Electric Teal. It's not a true green, more of a dark green/teal colour.

So here it is:

With flash

I also decided to add China Glaze's White Cap on top to give it an extra touch ^^

With flash

I guess this should be okay!
Better than nothing I guess ^^

This nail design was inspired by My Simple Little Pleasures nail tutorial.

I decided to try out this nail art technique as I thought the design looked simple + cute ^^
So here's my final results:

With flash

Products used:
- Maybelline New York Nude Rose
- OPI Alpine Snow

I had to practice this technique a couple times before actually doing it on my nails as my first attempt was really bad ^^"

NOTD: OPI Suzi Sells Sushi By the Seashore + China Glaze White Cap

I'm always finding nice OPI polishes on clearance whenever I go into Sally's these days. Last week I manged to find Suzi Sells Sushi By the Seashore for only £3.14!
Great bargain compared to the original price ^^

So here's what it looks like:

Opaque in 2 coats (with flash)

It's a lovely colour. A dark-ish metallic pink colour which is great for Summer ^^
I also decided to layer China Glaze's White Cap (also purchased when it was on clearence!) over Suzi Sells Sushi By the Seashore:

Applied only 1 coat (with flash)

I'd say it made the base colour slightly lighter as the polish in the bottle looks white. It adds shimmer to your base colour which is great if you want to add some glitter to your nail polishes!

A closer look at the shimmer

Excuse the brightness of the photo. It's supposed to be darker but the flash made it look brighter than usual ^^"

NOTD: Nail Art (inspired by Bubzbeauty)

This NOTD was inspired by one of Bubzbeauty's nail tutorials which is her "Starry Night" nail tutorial.
You can find the video here ^^

So this was the outcome after following the steps of the tutorial!

Instead of using blue, I used pink instead as I didn't have many blues ^^

The products used were:
- OPI Samoan Sand
- Chanel Miami Peach
- Maybelline Nude Rose
- Canmake Colourful Nails French Glitter

I'm happy with the results, what do you think?

NOTD: OPI My Daddy's the King + Silver Shatter

I managed to grab a hold of OPI's Silver Shatter when I went to Sally's yesterday. They didn't have it last time I went so I'm happy they had the Pirates of the Caribbean collection in-store yesterday ^^

I decided to wear the silver shatter over OPI's My Daddy's the King polish ~

Without silver shatter

This is a really nice neutral pink polish with some shimmer in.

With silver shatter

I think the two go well together. The silver shatter is actually lighter than it looks in the bottle which is nice!

Closer look

What do you think about the silver shatter?

NOTD: China Glaze Knotty

So happy to be able to purchase my first China Glaze products yesterday ^^
I managed to pick up two - Knotty & White Cap - both from the Anchors Away collection at the price of £3.14 each!

So today I decided to wear Knotty ^^

With flash

Knotty is a sheer beige colour with shimmer in it. I applied three coats to make it look more opaque.
It's a really nice colour for a neutral polish with shimmer in it. Great for day-to-day wear ^^

NOTD: Nails Inc. Fashion Fawn

Yay for freebies! ^^
I got this Nails Inc. polish from InStyle's magazine which I blogged about in a previous post (I also got Electric Teal).
It's a lovely brown/beige colour which is similar to Barry M's Mushroom but I think it's nicer as it's not as dark ~

It's a really nice colour. Maybe a colour for Autumn? I'm not sure ^^

NOTD: Chanel Miami Peach #203

I'm back with another NOTD post! I seem to be changing my nail colour every week which is a bad thing... I'm not used to having bare nails these days as I just find them, empty?
I decided to wear Chanel's Miami Peach nail polish today ^^

With flash

Natural daylight

I think it's a colour great for Spring as it's bright + well, just because it looks Spring-like.
It's a lovely colour ^^

It also has some shimmer in it which adds a great touch to the polish!

What's your favourite Spring nail polish?

NOTD: Pink + Glitter

I've started to become addicted to glitter nail polishes recently + with my happy purchase of Canmake's clear polish with silver glitters, I decided to use it as a top coat over a dark pink ^^

Maybelline New York 135 Nude Rose with Canmake's Glitter polish on tips

What do you guys think of it? I think it's great for Spring and Summer.
Pink's not normally my favourite but this darker shade of pink I'm wearing right now, it's not actually that bad!

NOTD: Nail Art - Blossom Nail Cocktail

I'm guessing you're all wondering what this is? I purchased this in Hong Kong + I love the outcome of this! The pack comes with three polishes + basically, each polish is applied on top of each other step-by-step.
So here's what it looks like!

Super cute don't you think? The colours blend in well + create a glittery look. There were a lot of colours to choose from such as blue, pink + many others but I chose brown for a more natural look ^^

What do you guys think?

NOTD: OPI Last Friday Night (Katy Perry Collection)

Okay, I was 'attempting' to not put any nail polish onto my nails till I go to Hong Kong which is 2-3 weeks away but I just couldn't help myself! I managed only two days with nothing on my nails + I just had the sudden urge to repaint my nails today.
So this is what I'm wearing!

Last Friday Night
From OPI's Katy Perry Collection

Last Friday Night is a very sheer blue glittery polish. I would probably apply this over a light blue polish next time but I currently don't have any light blue polishes.
If you'd rather wear this on it's own, you would have to apply A LOT of coats for the blue to turn out. Although it may look very blue in the bottle, it is very sheer so don't be fooled if you want a visible blue glittery polish!

Overall, I don't mind it. The color is okay, great for applying over other colors though ^^

What do you think of Last Friday Night?

NOTD: Nails Inc Caramel

Nails Inc: Caramel

I love this nail polish, it was part of Nails Inc's Diet Coke promotion in Boots a while ago. I would say it's a beige/nude color which is something that I like as I'm always wearing nude colored nail polishes these days.

I would say it dries pretty quickly! It also gives fabulous shine + a nice caramel color in just two coats! It's great for everyday wear as it's a nice neutral colour ^^

What do you think of Nails Inc's Caramel?

NOTD: Nails Inc Denim (+ matte top coat)

As many of you's may know, Boots had a Nails Inc promotion as part of their Diet Coke collection. I managed to get the Denim & Caramel nail polishes thanks to my friend (check out her blog here!).

Today I decided to wear Nails Inc's Denim polish:

Nails Inc Denim is a navy blue colour, maybe a slight shade lighter than navy. It covered well with two coats and dried pretty fast. I've been looking for a navy blue nail polish and this one is perfect!

I also applied Rimmel London's Matte Finish top coat as I quite like the matte look at the moment:

Nails Inc Denim looks great with a matte coat! Gives it a totally different look - from glossy to matte.

What do you think of the matte finish? (:
